Jacob rubbed the back of his neck as he struggled to get comfortable in his chair. It was Thursday. It had been exactly a week since he “gave Lee a lift home” and Lee had clearly said they would get together once a week. Unfortunately, he hadn’t specified if Jacob was supposed to set up something or if all the planning should be left to the…

Jacob closed his eyes. Even inside his own head it made his stomach clench to refer to the other man as the dominant party in their… whatever it was they were having together. If someone found out about their little arrangement, he’d have little choice but to leave the company, to break off contact with his friends and lose everything he’d worked for in the last ten years.

And yet, in spite of every fact in his head, the memory of Lee taking complete control of him made Jacob’s cock stand to attention behind his neatly tailored trousers. His erection couldn’t care less what risks were involved. The part of his mind that sighed in satisfaction whenever he called Lee “sir” still demanded that Jacob keep going. The knowledge that he had no real understanding of where his time with Lee would take him—physically or mentally—was irrelevant to his inner sub.

A sudden rap on his door jerked Jacob out of his musings. He lifted his head just in time to see Lee stride into the room, his manner full of confidence, his attention focused on the documents in his hand.

“Have you changed your mind?” Jacob blurted out, feeling far younger and more foolish than any man his age had a right to be.

Lee stopped. He looked up, paused for a moment and retraced his steps toward the door.

Jacob just sat there, not even calling him back let alone trying to stop him leaving.

Lee closed the door, but he didn’t step through it first. Instead, he locked it, sealing them both in the office. He wasn’t leaving. For several seconds, that was all Jacob cared about. Lee wasn’t leaving. There was no need to panic. He might be able to do another scene with him after all.

While Lee walked across the room and sat in the chair opposite his desk, Jacob made a concerted effort to pull himself together. He straightened his back and lifted his chin, ready to do battle.

“Well?” Jacob demanded as an opening shot. “Don’t pretend you don’t know what I’m talking about.”

“I had no intention of doing that,” Lee said, quite calmly. “I promised I wouldn’t lie to you, didn’t I?”

It should have sounded like a rhetorical question, but it didn’t.

“Yes,” Jacob allowed, unable to stop his tone mellowing a little. “You did.”

Lee smiled, as if in acceptance of Jacob’s half-apology. “I always keep my promises, and I haven’t changed my mind about anything.”

“You said we’d meet up once a week. It’s been seven days,” Jacob muttered, trying his best not to sound like either a toddler throwing a tantrum or a teenage girl obsessed with her first crush.
